Dear Residents and Family,
As our nation works to fight the spread of coronavirus, All Seasons Living communities are striving to provide a happy and healthy environment for our residents. As the situation with the virus changes, the measures we are taking at our communities remains fluid. We continue to diligently monitor updates put forth by the Centers for Disease Control, state and local health departments, and we will continue to make changes to our precautions as necessary. Many of you have communicated that you feel most comfortable within your All Seasons home, with limited contact amongst those outside of the community. Based on external recommendations and your valued feedback, we are implementing the following precautionary measures:
All Seasons Living staff will be health screened daily before beginning work. This will include answering health questions and screening for temperature by our onsite healthcare staff or agency. No employee will be permitted to work if symptomatic.
To protect resident health, it is critical that we minimize potential exposure points. As such, we are restricting guests from visiting our communities for the next thirty days. We will help facilitate Face Time and Skype calls upon request so our residents can stay engaged with friends and family. We will permit resident caregivers on site, but they must also meet daily health screening criteria before working. Caregivers will be limited to the resident apartment and may not to be in the common areas of the community.
All large group activities, performances and contracted building projects will be postponed for the next thirty days. Small activities will continue but will be monitored and may be adjusted to minimize cross contact.
We will be eliminating all non-essential community transportation. This includes cancelling travel to all off-site activities and events, as well as community provided car and bus transportation. The only exceptions will be transportation to doctor appointments, treatments and dialysis. We will also be assisting with on-line grocery and pharmacy orders upon request, and we will pick-up and deliver these orders to our residents.
Any residents who are returning from extended personal travel will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days. During any self-quarantine, services such as meals will continue and will be delivered to the apartment at no additional charge. Any resident can get room service at no additional charge for the next 30 days.
If a resident does become symptomatic for coronavirus, mandatory quarantine will be immediately implemented, and the county health department will be contacted for assessment and testing. Family members will also be notified immediately. In this circumstance, additional measures will be taken across the community.
In this uncertain time, we deem these measures necessary to provide a happy and healthy environment for our susceptible population of seniors. I want to close by assuring you that we are taking this crisis very seriously and we are doing everything in our power to minimize the risk and exposure for our residents. We certainly need and ask for your support and understanding to assist us in this endeavor.
